I just got to know that the animation passed through the prejudges in Assembly 07. The winner’s are announced tomorrow.
Due to copyright issues with the music I used, I couldn’t send the whole animation to this festival… doh.. Though I’ll shove it all online as soon as I can for everyone to see, it would’ve been nice to let them see all of it there already. But after considering it for awhile I thought out it would be best to have only 1 original cut in internet instead of multiple ones all with different music.
I feel a bit awkard now with the music choice I made. It was so cool that the band Callisto gave me a permission to use one of their songs in my animation (which I thought out first was a win-win situation for everyone). The finnish artist’s copyright organisation had to be paid first though, which I did. But the permission is limited and so am I…
…just come back later to give a peek and you’ll see the whole thing here, safe and sound.
Nice, fit and all legal.
Just saw this on pouet. Inspiring! I loved every waking minute of it!
Your entry for the Assembly 2007 was amazing! I was sorry to see, that it was only fourth in short film compo. I voted it for the second place. I would have voted it to be first, but Maxon’s entry appealed more because of its demo scene theme. Anyway, truly amazing work of art. Can’t wait to see the whole movie.
ermm. Thank’s guys.. I guess the ranking would’ve been a bit better if I could’ve had the chance to place the whole movie instead of this 3 min cut. But as I said I prefer it this way than having 2 different cuts with different music. Stay tuned for the whole animation!
